> Ireland has a lively music scene. There are so many good musicians and bands. How hard is it for a singer-songwriter like you to get your music out in such a big music scene?
I focus on the music, making it the best I can at the time I record it. It's easy to think too much about all the 'competition' but we are all just people making music, if a song is good enough it will spread on its own with less work, I think.
> You weren't planning to release your album 'Take A stand'. However the BBC started to play your music. How did that happen?
BBC have an uploader for new artists, I just uploaded a few tracks and they started to play them within a few days. Then they asked me in for a live session, this is before I had even got a band together, so my first public performance of these songs was on this live BBC session.
> You were involved in the project "Song for Lily-Mae". The song Tiny Dancer went no.1. Did this help for your further career?
With this project the main thing was it is for a great cause, and it helps to have my name on the list of other more known artists who also performed on it.
> Then more happened, your music got played by radio stations in The Netherlands. How difficult is it to try it in an other country? You probably don't know the music-scene really well and you don't speak the language?
The attention is all down to Kirsten, an enthusiastic listener of my music and other NI artists. She worked to get my music to people who would give it a chance on radio. Because of the support in The Netherlands I will be coming over at the end of August and I do not know any of the language yet, so i better get learning!
> What would you like to say to artists who are trying the same as you? Any Tips?
Just make the best music you can, keep writing and improving the songs each time you write and experiment with different styles. Main thing is not to give up, stay positive and enjoy it.
> You're coming to Holland later this year, what are you looking forward to the most?
Meeting the people who have supported my music and I love experiencing a country I have never been to.
> You're working on your second album. What is it going to sound like and is it going to be released this year? If so, do you already know when?
Yes I have been working with a few guys from the band and once we have the songs in a ready for recording we will get into the studio. I have been posting info and demos about the songs on a blog here.
